Over the past ten years, Simply Defense has become a leader in defensive instruction for players of all ages. Our program gives students the opportunity to learn the finer points of the defense position from other defensemen! Our staff members are current or former pro, junior or college DEFENSEMEN.

Our program's founder, Jeff Blum, is a former defenseman with playing experience in the IHL, UHL, CCHA and coaching experience in both the junior (NAHL) and professional (UHL) ranks.

Simply Defense methodically breaks down the skills and responsibilities of the modern day defensemen and introduces them to our students step by step. Students progress through creative, demanding drills focusing on the finer points of the position, then advance to game specific situational drills.

Programs are offered year round in the form of 2 day holiday clinics during the season or 4 day summer camps. Programs are now offered in a number of rinks in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Minnesota.
